Dr Kadhem Al-Rawi (Principal): graduated from Baghdad University and received his Ph.D. in Modern History from the University of Leeds, U.K. Dr Kadhem has wide experience as a History lecturer, both overseas and in Britain. He specialises in teaching the modules on Islamic History and the Biography of the Prophet etc.
Dr Izeddin Abdel Rahman (Religious Director and Academic Administrator): graduated from Al-Azhar University, Egypt and received his Ph.D. from Omdurman University, Sudan. Dr Izeddin specialises in Usul al-Din and teaches the modules relating to Qur’an and Hadith.
Professor Abbas Tawfiq : graduated from Baghdad University and received his Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University, India. He was a Professor of Arabic Language and Literature at Salahaddin University, Iraq and Sana’a University, Yemen. Professor Abbas teaches Arabic Grammar and Rhetoric at this Institute.
Professor Yusuf Izzidien (volunteer): received a Ph.D. from the University of London in 1957. He is a member of several Scientific Academy Councils in the Arab world. He was professor of Arabic Language and Literature at Baghdad University, Iraq, Om al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia and various others. Professor Yusuf teaches Arabic Literature.
Mr. Abdullah al-Judai: is a member of the European Committee of Fatwa and Research and a Ph.D. student at the University of Wales, Lampeter. He teaches the Principles of Jurisprudence.
Mrs Atefa Okeh: graduated from Jordan University and is currently taking her Ph.D. at the University of Wales, Lampeter. Mrs Okeh specialises in Usul al-Din and teaches Islamic Faith and Qur’anic Studies.
Mr. Mohammed Shawshaan (volunteer): is a researcher in Islamic Studies and a visiting tutor of Arabic Language. He graduated from the High Institution of Shariah in Algeria.
Mrs. Patricia Sinclair (administrator and English tutor): graduated from the University of London and went on to receive her Dip.Ed from Goldsmith’s College. She has taught English for many years in Secondary School and latterly E.F.L. courses for undergraduates and research students.
Mr. Salim al-Shaikhi: a member of the European Council for Fatwa and Research, graduated from Islamiyyah University, Saudi Arabia and received his Diploma from Omdurman University, Sudan. He teaches modules relating to Islamic Personal Status Law and Inheritance.
Mr Wanis Lefsay (volunteer): is a legislative consultant at the Cardiff Islamic Centre and a Ph.D. student at the University of Wales, Lampeter. He teaches the modules related to Islamic Jurisprudence.
