Correspondence Course in Islamic Studies
EIHS offers a well-established programme for distance learners. The Kulliyah understands that there are many potential students of Islamic Law who are unable, due to family commitments etc, to attend the residential courses. For this reason we have designed a flexible programme to suit the needs of students who wish to study our HIGHER LICENCE IN ISLAMIC LAW, which is equivalent to a BA degree.
This modular course is taught totally through the medium of Arabic Language and therefore requires that applicants possess the relevant fluency. All materials and resources are in the Arabic language and the tutors are native speakers.
Academic requirements:
You are required to have gained at least 2 ‘A’ levels at grade C (or equivalent qualifications).
If you are 22 years old and above then your acceptance on the course will not necessarily be dependent upon academic qualifications. Life experience, experience in the work place etc., can be considered in the decision-making process. Our tutors will assess other relevant criteria and base their decision on these. Please include a covering letter when applying.
The correspondence programme is normally taken over 3 years and the fees for the full course are £2,500. Students are expected to pay an initial registration fee of £100 and then £800 at the beginning of each academic year.
For further details of the course please telephone either Sheikh Mohsen or Dr Shams on 01570 480 612 (mobile number: 07971405990). Application form available here.
